ok, so...i basically climbed into the ceiling

Posted By Whitney Fletcher, asba, Thursday, July 1, 2010

Ok, so…I’m going to start this by saying, if you are an SCF employee please stop reading now because are not going to be happy with my blatant disregard for worker safety rules. Psh, rules are meant to be broken right?! Ahhh, I digress.

As some of you may know we have a brand new Business Education Center next to the phoenix asba offices. Well, we thought it would be a great idea to hold an meeting in there yesterday…too bad the electrical in the room wasn’t completely done yet. In order to the get the PowerPoint presentation up and running someone had to climb basically into the ceiling to turn on the equipment. For some unknown reason I volunteered. Um, I’m 5ft and to get anywhere near the ceiling I literally had to be on the top step of a pretty tall ladder. Have I mentioned that heights and I aren’t really friends?!  After a few Hail Mary’s I managed to climb in there do my duty and safely climb back down. All in a days work at the ol’ asba offices! I wear many hats, official ladder climber is just one of them now.

I will be one happy lady when that room in completely done:) In the meantime enjoy the attached picture of me trying not to injure myself on the ladder.
