OSHA 10 Hour – Construction Safety Outreach Training Course

Please note this is a two-part class. You must attend FRIDAY, MAY 13 from 12:00p-5:30p and SATURDAY, MAY 14 from 8:00a-1:30pm session to receive your certificate.

The 10-hour program is intended to provide a variety of training on construction safety and health subjects to employers and workers who require basic information about preventing workplace accidents. The OSHA 10-hour class emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not compliance with specific OSHA regulations; although standards are referenced throughout the class and compliance questions will be answered. The topics covered in this class are:

Introduction to OSHA

The OSHA Focus Four Hazards

- Fall Protection

- Electrical safety

- Struck-by hazards

- Caught in/between hazards

Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment

Health Hazards in Construction

Machinery and Equipment

Hand and Power Tools



Ladders and Stairways

Confined Spaces

Safety and Health Programs

Each participant will be provided with an OSHA Authorized Course Completion card and certificate.
