Healthy Arizona Worksite Program - Tucson

Studies show worksite wellness programs may improve the health of employees and save employers money. Employers who implement a worksite wellness program can help employees adopt healthier lifestyles, lower their risk of developing costly chronic diseases, and reduce absenteeism. At no charge, Arizona employers can offer this program as an added benefit for employees.

Join the Arizona Small Business Association (ASBA) for a 5-part workshop series on implementing or enhancing a worksite wellness program, which will help employees adopt healthier lifestyles, lower their risk of developing costly chronic diseases, and reduce absenteeism. At no cost to you, Arizona employers can attend this grant-funded workshop series and offer this program as an added benefit for employees.

This date includes three of the five modules:

Module 1 – Making a Case for Worksite Health

Understanding the following:
  • Relationship between employee health and individual and organizational performance
  • Positive impacts of a comprehensive worksite health program
  • Key components of a comprehensive worksite health program


Module 2 – Leadership and Culture

Understanding the following:
  • Importance of senior leadership support and worksite infrastructure
  • How to create leadership support for worksite health
  • How to create a healthy worksite culture
  • How to build a strong infrastructure for worksite health


Module 3 – Assessment & Data Collection

Understanding the following:
  • The worksite assessment process
  • Reason to collect data
  • The types of data used in worksite health promotion planning
  • The uses for specific assessment instruments
