The Arizona Women's Education and Entrepreneur Center (AWEEc) invites entrepreneurs with an idea or product to improve the lives of women and families to compete at the InnovateHER: 2015 Innovating for Women Business Challenge.

This event is also the official launch of the new Women's Business Center, Arizona Women's Education and Entrepreneur Center (AWEEc), a new program of Arizona Women’s Education and Employment (AWEE) and is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

SBA is launching a national business competition for products, services, or technologies that impact and empower the lives of women and families. Through the 2015 Innovating for Women Business Challenge, the SBA is looking for entrepreneurs to create a product, service or technology that has a measurable impact on the lives of women and families, has the potential for commercialization, and fills a need in the marketplace.

During the competition, contestants will have a unique opportunity to pitch their business. One winner will be eligible to contend for one of the final ten national slots and a chance to win $30,000 in cash prizes in Washington, D.C. during National Small Business Week May 4-8.

The competition in Phoenix is open to entrepreneurs throughout Maricopa County, both women and men, who are developing products or services that have a measurable positive impact on the lives of women and families, has the potential for commercialization, and fills a need in the marketplace. As demands on women and families grow in our society, the need for products, services, and technology addressing those needs increases.

For more information and for a complete list of rules, please call the AWEEc at (602) 223-4329 or email us at aweecenter@awee.org.
