More and more Arizona businesses are facing expensive lawsuits and audits alleging that they failed to pay minimum wage or overtime.  Most did not even realize they were doing it wrong. Protect your company.  Join us for a 2-hour workshop where we'll break down the basics of the federal and state wage-and-hour laws and provide crucial information to assist you in evaluating whether you must pay your employees overtime and how to properly calculate it.

All businesses are at risk – small and large.  Unless you are absolutely certain you understand and are complying with these laws, your company could be on the receiving end of a very expensive lawsuit.  Class action lawsuits and Department of Labor audits usually cost a small company between $50,000 and $150,000; companies with more employees have a larger exposure.  More often than not, the employer thought it was conducting itself correctly and simply didn’t understand these rules.

Presenter, Karen Karr, will de-mystify these rules for employers, and help them minimize or avoid this very real threat.  Attendees will get real, hands-on information, together with a notebook of reference materials they can refer to later.
