Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Tax Credit Program

Come and join our speakers for the April Council Connect signature luncheon with the Arizona Technology Council about one of the most globally competitive and generous R&D tax programs and how it can help effectively expand your business, Arizona and beyond.

Who Should Attend
Arizona companies who are considering international expansion and are interested in learning about Canada’s business advantages. This session will be of most benefit to companies who are engaged in innovative and collaborative research and technology development.

About the Presenter
Matt Pearson is the National Technology Sector Leader for SR&ED at Ernst & Young LLP. He is also EY’s SR&ED practice leader for Ottawa, the national capital. From his time in industry and at EY, Matt has been involved in the preparation and defence of SR&ED claims since 2001. Prior to joining EY, he was Vice President of Technology at a telecommunications company that he co-founded and grew to over $30M in annual revenue, ultimately bringing it public on the Toronto Venture Exchange. Matt also has experience at large corporations, starting his career at Intel Corporation in California. He serves on the Board of Directors of CENGN, the Centre of Excellence for Next Generation Networks. Matt has a Ph.D. in Engineering Physics from McMaster University, and a B.Sc. from the Royal Military College of Canada.
