The new and revised bi-lingual version of InfoGuía will debut in May 2014 in the Valley of the Sun. It is a new and up dated project to help promote local businesses and to be a resource of information for the Hispanic community. Gilbert Cano, the project creator, has more than 16 years’ experience in the development of sales training programs and as General Manager with the Spanish Yellow Pages. He has worked in several markets of high Hispanic concentration in the U.S. and in Uruguay S.A.
What is the concept behind the development of InfoGuia?
“The concept is actually twofold. First, I wanted to develop a resource for the Hispanic community to have access to information not readily available in Spanish. There is so much information that we take for granted that is not available for visitors or new residents that feel more comfortable assimilating information in Spanish. InfoGuía will provide information regarding City, County and State issues and services. There are many programs and services available to the community that many residents are not even aware of. InfoGuía will also provide news from Latin-American countries updated daily and articles and Blogs regarding current events, lifestyle, health, legal issues and so much more. It will also be a resource for many non-profit organizations to raise awareness of their programs and services to this fast growing community, in Spanish. We are constantly adding more information. All the information will be available on one website www.infoguia.info.”
What is the second part of the concept behind InfoGuia?
“The second motive behind the development of InfoGuía is to provide a resource to help small local businesses promote their products and services at an affordable cost. I know that many small businesses fail, not from the lack of a good quality product or service, but because the community was not even aware of their business. InfoGuía will help any size business that wants to advertise their products and services to the fast growing Hispanic consumer market.”
How is InfoGuia going to help the business owner or entrepreneur?
“InfoGuía mission is to be the single most important advertising vehicle to target the Hispanic community. It will provide businesses with a unique and comprehensive advertising package that will provide a page on the InfoGuia website, under ‘Clasificados’, that will include: 1. Display ad and synopsis of the business, 2. Interactive map to the business location, 3. Link to the advertisers website plus 4. Exclusive 4-digit ‘Talking Ad’ code on InfoVoz, all at an affordable price.”
Please explain InfoVoz and what a ‘Talking Ad’ code is.
“InfoVoz is an audio-information system that is exclusive to InfoGuía. InfoVoz allows access to pre-recorded audio messages over the telephone 24 hours a day. InfoVoz is accessed by calling a toll-free number 1-855-446-3686 and entering the 4-digit code of your topic of interest. Each business will have an exclusive 4-digit ‘Talking Ad’ code. When a consumer listens to your ‘Talking Ad’, if they like the information or promotion, their call can be forwarded directly to the business by simply pressing the star (*) button on the telephone. This innovative concept is exclusive to InfoGuía through InfoVoz.”
The ‘Talking Ad’ concept sounds very interesting. Are there other uses for the code? “Since the ‘Talking Ad’ code is exclusive to the business they can print their code on business cards, brochures, in display ads in newspaper, magazines, coupons etc. The content can be changed throughout the year without replacing the code number plus, the added feature that a ‘Talking Ad’ can be recorded in Spanish or in English.”
That sounds good to me.
