Cox Communications announced last week Metro Phoenix has been chosen as one of the first markets for residential gigabit speeds. The company also said it will double Internet speeds for existing customers in its most popular tiers this year. Since many small business owners work from home, the increase on Internet speed should help them work more efficiently.
For many small businesses, winning contracts is the key to sustaining revenue. This can be difficult if the only thing you can offer is price. You may face multiple competitors all trying to deliver the lowest quote, or a new business willing to lose money just to get in the door. Brian Lund VP of Ditto holdings says when your competition is focused only on price you have an advantage.
Lund says adding other services; emphasizing quality or building in a surplus can be powerful motivators and help win the contract.

It’s going to make your customers think that you really want to work with them.
