Protein Technologies, Inc. Achieves Growth and Success
Since 2006 Award
Protein Technologies, Inc. (PTI),
named one of the Top 50 Arizona Companies to Watch in 2006 (the first year of
this award), has truly earned its title.
Co-sponsored by the Arizona Small Business Association (ASBA) and the
Edward Lowe Foundation, this award was designed to honor outstanding second
stage-companies in Arizona.
According
to then Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano, "Second-stage companies are
privately held enterprises that employ from 10 to 100 people and generate
between $750,000 and $100 million in gross annual sales. They are navigating an
exciting if tumultuous stage of growth that presents challenges and
opportunities different from those faced by startup companies or large
corporations….The "Companies to Watch" awards identify and celebrate
businesses moving successfully through this crucial second-stage of
growth."
Since receiving the award, Protein
Technologies has enjoyed double digit growth every year from 2007 through
2010. Achieving double-digit growth for a
company even in good times is an amazing feat. It is an extraordinary one
in financial times like these, and PTI has now done it for the fourth year in a
row! PTI’s successful growth started with having a firm base of reliable,
high performance instrumentation, including our very first peptide synthesizer,
the PS3™, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in
2010. A fantastic basic unit, it created
such a great first impression that not only are inaugural instruments still
running in some labs, but some labs refuse to buy anything else! Likewise, we are proud to say that our
SYMPHONY® line has been the main workhorse of the custom peptide
industry over the last 18 years.
In
the last 5 years, PTI has lead the market in innovative instrument design with
the expansion of our product line starting with the release of the PRELUDE® Parallel
Peptide Synthesizer in 2006, and the TRIBUTE® peptide synthesizer in
2007. The
IntelliSynth™ UV-Monitoring and Feedback Control System option for the TRIBUTE™
and the new larger capacity SONATA® XT
peptide synthesizer were released in 2009.
The new OVERTURE™ Robotic
Peptide Library Synthesizer was released in 2010, which is PTI’s first
instrument geared towards the peptide library market with features never before
seen on robotic units of its class.
As
PTI celebrates its 26th anniversary in 2011, we have truly reached
our goal of being the world’s leading manufacturer of peptide synthesizers, and
look forward to continuing to provide the best products, service, and support
in the industry as we strive to do even better in the years to come!
