Only 11 percent of Arizona small business owners see the U.S. economy as good. That's a drop from 19 percent last quarter and stands in contrast to 58 percent who see the economy as fair and 31 percent who see it as poor, according to the Silver State Bank/Arizona Small Business Association/O'Neil Associates latest Arizona Economic Indicators Monitor. None of the respondents rated the economy as excellent.

Wi-fi project grant adds resources for businesses

Wi-Vod, a wireless Internet provider company, is partnering with Central Arizona College, the Arizona Small Business Association (asba), and the city of Eloy to prepare local business owners for the new technology. On account of a $190,000 grant from the USDA, the aforementioned organizations called the Pinal Regional Partnership are together also able to provide free training opportunities to area businesses. Countywide wireless Internet access can change the way local companies and agencies do business.
