Speaker: Mary Schnack, Mary Schnack & Associates

A specialist in communications for almost 30 years, Mary Schnack is an award winning writer, business owner and public relations practitioner. She owns Mary Schnack & Associates, a public relations consultancy agency that represents sophisticated organizations from corporations and small businesses to government agencies and associations and non-profit organizations. They have placed client’s stories in national publications, regional and local newspapers, radio shows and programs, television news programs and internet-based media and strategize and carry out social media and email marketing for clients.

Mary started out as a journalist and has written for major national magazines and newspapers, including Newsweek, McCall’s and the Los Angeles Times. She also was a television field producer and director for Newsweek Video. A crisis communications specialist, Schnack has helped small businesses, associations and corporations with a variety of crises. Crises she has worked include the Waco cult crisis, the Los Angeles Civil Unrest crisis, Rwanda Civil War, Kosovo refugee camps, AIDS research, medical university shutting down human subject research, corporate firings of executives, loss of business due to arson, businesses being sued and Sedona sweat lodge deaths.

Mary has won awards from the US Small Business Administration as a business advocate, World of Difference Award from The International Alliance for Women, Working Mother of the Year Trailblazer Award from Working Mother Media and various other industry awards for her writing, website work and communication programs.

She has inspired people with her trainings in Indonesia, India, Kenya, Ghana, Argentina, Iceland, and Mexico, just to name a few destinations, and throughout the US.
