Are you looking to start a business a small business in Arizona? Well, look no further as there are a lot of things you can do. Below are ten small business investment opportunities in Arizona. Let’s start with the creative department.

Top 10 Small Business Investment Opportunities in Arizona

1. Invest in Art and Crafts-: If you have a flair for art, you could turn your artistic hobby into a business by selling at craft fairs and shows all year round. You can make $18,000 per year on this alone. Better yet, it gives you time for other things.

To be successful at this, I advice you get professional with your work and make it something people would want to buy. Your mother could have put your cute art work up on the refrigerator door but that does not necessarily make you the next Van Gogh.

It is also quite important to find the right place to showcase your work. Indoor shows may not be available to you as you start out but ask other vendors where you can get your work showcased and take it from there.

2. Do you love books? You can turn that hobby to a small successful business in the State of Arizona. There are at least 15 different things you can do with your love of modern ink and parchment:

  • Book shop-: Own a bookshop. E-books are the new craze but nothing can really take the place of a cute, book shop filled with the wonders of the world. You could also branch into niches not available online in a way that can satisfy customers, you could go into selling religious books tapes or sell books that cater to women matters only.

  • Story telling-: Children’s schools, libraries and even summer camp programs engage the services of story tellers.

  • Used books retailing-: Sell used books.

  • Book publishing-: Help unknown authors publish their books.

  • Begin a book club-: You can’t go wrong with this one.

  • Begin a blog and encourage guest writers to share their stories.

  • Writing how-to books-: Several people earn a living with this.

  • Printing press-: Earn a living printing flyers, books etc.

  • Do writing jobs working from home

  • Researcher-: Research work can be profitable. Several companies outsource their research work,

  • Translation services-: If you know another language, you could become a translator.

  • Information website-: Create an information website and earn with Google Ads.

  • Online Magazine-: Start an online magazine and earn money as an affiliate marketer and through Google Ads as well.

3. Start a Private Tutoring Business Online. You can reach more people online than offline, that’s for sure. You could teach over Skype or have lessons prepared and email to clients. You should also be able to certify them. Think of what you can do really well, create a course that is easy to understand, find out if you need approval from any Body or Organization and you are good to go.

4. Start a marking and Grading Outsourcing Company. For fairness and transparency, some schools and even examination bodies prefer to engage the services of marking and grading companies. Get accredited if need be.

5. If you have got a flair for picking out great furniture and good color combo skills, you could start a business as an Interior Designer. You could charge a flat fee or per hour. Rates can be as high as $200 per hour if you know what you are doing.

6. A lot of companies and even small business owners would be interested in hiring a virtual assistant to save money. Virtual assistants usually pay for their own health and insurance because they are not full employees (obviously) and usually just help with select projects and programs. To start this, simply do the following:

  • Decide on what type of business to offer

  • Determine your niche; specialize

  • Determine the amount of resource; time and energy this would require and what you can actually give.

  • Do some research

  • Create a list of potential clients, find out their needs and get good at them

  • Know your constraints

7. Got a camera? Start the stock photo business. This is a fast growing area and can be done without much physical contact with clients. It is also a great business for introverts.

8. Start a courier service in your area if you have got a truck. Strike a deal with the big names and up your ante by collecting the parcel from clients or just get your name out there with effective marketing.

9. Organize seminars on whatever you are passionate about; entrepreneurship, investment etc. The list is endless. You have no idea how many people are actually in need of the knowledge you’ve got till you try it.

10. Have basic computer skills? Start a Computer Training for baby boomers. As they approach retirement, chances are they get to spend more time on the internet and would welcome the knowledge.

11. Start a property maintenance business. Mow lawns, tend gardens etc. You could make it as professional as possible and hire some hands for cheap to make it scalable. There you have it. Most can be started with very little money. Go ahead, as there is nothing stopping you now but you.
